Plenty of doors opening for Hayne

JARRYD Hayne's future could be at Parramatta.

Or the Gold Coast Titans.

Or rugby with Toulon in France.

But definitely not the San Francisco 49ers, the Fiji rugby sevens team for the Rio Olympics or the NSW Waratahs.

The Eels are still chasing their former State of Origin back. They should have the full $7.1 million salary cap at their disposal for next season, allowing them to bid for Hayne (pictured).

The 28-year-old's manager, Wayne Beavis, said he had had talks with franchises in several codes, including the Titans.

"We've had some informal chats and I suppose the option's still alive, it's fair to say,” Beavis told News Ltd. "There's plenty of options locally and overseas.

"We're just getting them all together and then we'll sit down and have a chat about them and see which one he wants to do.”

Hayne told Fox Sports he left the NFL because he wasn't getting enough game time to learn the intricacies of American football.

"I need to be getting game time and you just can't get that over there (in the NFL) because of the way it works,” Hayne said.

"If there was a second- division team where I could get those mental reps of being on the field, 100% I'd go back to the NFL,” Hayne said.

Like his time with the 49ers, Hayne didn't get on the field enough with the Fiji sevens squad.

The former Kangaroo has met ARU officials in recent days, but the NSW Waratahs recently passed on signing the gun athlete.

It has since been reported he may be to off to French rugby, possibly with Toulon to join Quade Cooper.
