Workers hope to claw back up the Football FNC ladder
LISMORE Workers will be looking to regain third place on the Far North Coast premier league soccer ladder, when they host Lennox Head in a catch up game tonight.
"We're desperate to finish in the top three to get a second chance in the semis, so it's a game we just have to win before facing Byron in the final round next week" said Workers coach Scott Collis.
Collis will rest key player Clint Willoughby because of a foot injury, and possibly midfielder Kurt Walker as well, with the same complaint.
Daune Hoare is likely to take the place of Willoughby in defence, with either Matt Keevers or exciting young prospect Jack Baker to come in for Walker.
The Sharks also have two important players missing in Paul Kirkland and Conan Griffiths, but with neither semis nor relegation an issue, coach Troy Taylor will experiment with some younger players.
"The result doesn't mean much at this stage of the season, so we'll mix things up a bit" he said.
Kick off is 8pm.
