P-platers race into trouble at 140km/h

TWO P-platers had their licences suspended by police after being caught doing more than 140kmh on the Bruxner Hwy at Alstonville yesterday.

Police said the mates from Wollongbar TAFE were allegedly caught overtaking a number of cars on the highway down the hill towards Ballina.

The P-1 driver from Alstonville and a P-2 driver from Ballina both had their licences suspended on the spot for three months and they were each issued with an $815 fine.
