Overactive kid? Try the Olympics

JOSHUA Jefferis was overactive as a youngster, so his parents signed him up for gymnastics when he was just three.

It has proved an inspirational move as Jefferis, who has won three Australian titles and four Commonwealth Games gold medals, will now take on the world's best in London tonight.

He'll make his Olympic debut when the men's artistic qualifying starts at 10pm (AEST).

If underwear shows during competition, points will be deducted, and competitors will also have points taken off for ... picking a wedgie.
