PAULINE Hanson flicked the switch to extreme Trump this morning with a gobful of abuse and denigration aimed at her fellow Senator Sam Dastyari who was rounded on by a bunch of racist hoons in a Melbourne bar.

These bottom feeders, who call themselves Blue Patriots, harangued Dastyari as a "monkey" and told him to go back to his birthplace, Iran.

Dastyari brushed them off while his Labor colleague Tim Watts asked them "what race is a dickhead".

However, Hanson, who is whipping up anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim sentiment as part of her support for One Nation in the Queensland election, said it was all Dastyari's fault.

"I think he's just using this as publicity to sell his book," said Hanson.

"I don't see anything in this. I really don't.

"Do people have respect for Dastyari? I don't believe they do. He's taken money from the Chinese to pay for his legals. He's done the wrong thing and I don't think the public respect him."

Her taxpayer funded minder James Ashby said Dastyari was heckled because he was "a wanker" and "not because he's a Muslim".

Hanson then took to name calling in her attacks on Dastyari.

"He's admitted he's a non-practising Muslim, so he's played up this whole thing and people in Australia will make up their own minds up about this little Mr Bean," she said.

"Because that's what he looks like, a little Mr Bean. He's a smart-arse. He's got no respect for the people and he plays up his position".

This kind of hit and run slag and abuse is the very tactic used by US President Donald Trump when he was running for office last year.

It's straight out of the US far right playbook and will probably work for Hanson but that doesn't make it dignified or acceptable.
