OPINION: Is it too big of an advantage for Hannah Mouncey?

POWERHOUSE: Canberra's Hannah Mouncey has also represented Australia in both men's and women's international handball competitions. She is now allowed to register for the 2019 AFLW Draft.

AUSSIE RULES: With all due respects and good on Hannah Mouncey for being forthright etcetera and no problem with the sex change - each to their own.

I am not against transgenders, homosexuality, cross-dressers and the like.

But I disagree Hannah should play in the AFLW competition in 2019.

Put simply, she will monster her smaller and lighter opposition, save for perhaps Brisbane Lions' Sabrina Frederick-Traub.

Sure there are tall and athletic women running around the AFLW, but thing about it is, they are women.

Hannah has an unfair advantage with size and weight over the other women because she had man's hormones while she was developing.

Yes there are women such as Frederick-Traub and several others, but they were born with their attributes.

So was Hannah, but she was born as a male.

I feel like Hannah's case will open a Pandora's box and it will take away from what is already a unique and fledgling AFLW competition.

Still, it is what it is and good luck to Hannah and other TG athletes, but perhaps there is an even playing field for them.

Anyway - my opinion.

Love to hear your thoughts.
