Police seize drugs, chemicals in Sydney

MORE than 30kg of precursor and performance enhancing drugs were seized in Sydney in the past week.

The drugs and chemicals included 24.6kg of ephedrine, 6kg of ContacNT and 2kg of testosterone, seized at the city's mail centre and New South Wales Air Cargo.

Customs authorities reported the drugs were spread across 10 consignments from China, Hong Kong and Vietnam.

The ephedrine was concealed in packages, including paint scraper handles, metal lunch boxes, body lotion, aluminium foil, tile cutters and a coffee table.
