NiE The Season of Summer

THROUGHOUT the year, most places on Earth go through four noticeable seasons, each defined by a grouping of calendar months.

At this time of year in the southern hemisphere we have hit summer, the season associated with hot weather and long days.

December 1 is the official start of summer in Australia and, according to the timetable, finishes at the end of February. However we often experience summer conditions for more than the designated three months.

Summer is the season for cricket, tennis, festivals, New Year celebrations and outdoor events and most importantly extended school holidays, so get out and have some fun in the sun.
