
Newman hopes to finally play a grand final with Tigers
FORMER Richmond captain Chris Newman has played 224 games for the club - none of them in a final.
But with the Tigers in the top eight, and putting together a promising list, the 31-year-old hopes that will change this year - or next.
Newman was one of four players re-signed by the club yesterday, extending his contract until the end of 2014.
Jake King signed on for another year, Brandon Ellis for two more years, and exciting youngster Nick Vlastuin until the end of 2016.
Brisbane announced it had re-signed ruckman Matthew Leuenberger for two more seasons, and Dayne Zorko for a further three.
