AMC has unveiled the first clip from the fifth season of The Walking Dead.
In the short teaser, Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) spots a herd of walkers - aka zombies - coming towards her through the trees.
With one word - 'More' - the silver-haired widow signals Tyreese (Chad L Coleman) to carry Baby Judith off the railroad tracks.
Fans last saw Carol and Tyreese following the tracks to reunite with their friends at a so-called safe haven dubbed 'Terminus'.
Located at an abandoned railroad yard, the town's cannibalistic citizens have already entrapped Bob, Abraham, Sasha, Eugene, Maggie, and Glenn.
But as soon as Rick, Daryl, Michonne, and Carl joined their friends inside the train car - the former cop declares: "They're screwing with the wrong people."
"It's the most ambitious first episode I think we've ever attempted," Lincoln said in a behind-the-scenes video.
"It moves like no other premiere we've ever shot, and if this is anything to go by for the season, I think it's going to be the best season yet."
Now in its fifth year, The Walking Dead is beloved by critics and has scored two Emmy awards and one Golden Globe nomination.
The post-apocalyptic drama was developed by Frank Darabont based on the 2003 Robert Kirkman comic book.
The 16-episode fifth season of The Walking Dead premieres in October on AMC.
