FRASER Coast motorists can expect safer roads in the future after a new heavy vehicle inspection manual was launched on Tuesday.
The manual applies to all vehicles with a gross vehicle mass or aggregate trailer mass greater than 4.5 tonnes and provides transparency about how heavy vehicles will be inspected nationally.
All states and territories have agreed to follow the manual by July 1, 2016.
