Netballers heading to Sydney for titles
LISMORE will send two teams to the netball state championships, to be hosted by the Baulkham Hills association in Sydney over the June long weekend.
Lismore will field teams in the open championship division and the Under-17s.
They will come up against some of the best netball talent from around NSW.
The 49th Netball NSW State Championships will involve 103 teams representing 69 associations travel from near and far around the State to participate in three days of back-to-back netball.
There will be six divisions: Two open divisions (Championship and Division 1); 21 years and under; and three 17 years and under divisions.
State titles aren't the only trophies up for grabs with the Pat Weston Country Champions Cup also on the line.
Introduced in 2009, the cup is named in honour of Netball NSW and Parramatta Auburn life member Pat Weston.
It is awarded to the highest placed regional association in the open championship division.
