Nando's big mango heist was to promote new dish

NANDO'S has revealed why it pretended to steal the big Bowen mango earlier this week, and the answer comes as no surprise.

The fast-food giant will tomorrow launch a new flavour - mango and lime. The flavour described as "zesty" will be available in restaurants from tomorrow.

On Friday morning Nandos staff will thank the people of Bowen for the use of their mango by giving out thousands of bottles of Nando's new PERI-PERI sauce as the big mango is reinstalled.
