A MAGISTRATE will decide in June whether there is enough evidence to commit Edmund Ian Riggs to trial over the 2001 death of his wife Patricia Anne Riggs.

Former Caloundra man Mr Riggs faced charges of murder and of misconduct with a corpse. Ms Rigg's remains were only found in 2016 when somebody built a retaining wall in Redcliffe.

A committal hearing with cross-examination has been scheduled for June 8 at Brisbane Magistrates Court. -NewsRegional
