Missing boy has been found

UPDATE 9.57am: WILLIAM McLean has been found.

The 14-year-old Wollongbar boy was last seen at Wollongbar home at 9.30am on Saturday.

Richmond Police District Facebook post read: "Fantastic news - William has been found safe and well! Thanks to everyone who took an interest."

 

 

UPDATE, Wednesday, 9am: AS POLICE continue to search for missing boy William McLean, they have urged the public not to report information on social media.

Richmond Police District senior constable David Henderson said the 14-year-old Wollongbar boy had still not been located.

But as members of the community continue to share social media posts about William's disappearance, some have taken to Facebook with possible leads, rather than contacting police.

This has included one person who believed William may have gone to Tweed Heads with a friend.

Police said William left his Wollongbar home about 9.30am on Saturday, March 10 and hadn't been seen since.

YESTERDAY: POLICE have issued an alert for a missing boy on the Northern Rivers.

William McLean, 14, left the family home at Wollongbar about 9.30am on Saturday, March 10.

He has not been seen since.

He is described as being about 150cm tall, brown hair, brown eyes and thin build.

He was last seen wearing a grey shirt and grey or black track paints and a black cap.
