BRISBANE full-back Daniel Merrett looks set to pay for the team's aggressive approach that produced an upset 10-point win against Essendon on Saturday.

Merrett can accept a three-match ban for his sling tackle that saw Bomber forward Michael Hurley subbed out of the game with concussion in the first quarter.

Fellow Lion Justin Clarke was also charged by the match review panel and can accept a one-match suspension for rough conduct against Elliott Kavanagh.

North Melbourne backman Scott Thompson can accept a reprimand and carry-over points for striking West Coast's Matt Rosa.
