TITANS winger David Mead could make a surprise return from a broken jaw against the Dragons on Sunday.
Mead suffered the injury 10 minutes from full time in Gold Coast's come-from behind win against the Eels on April 14, but bravely played on.
Club physio Greg Condon yesterday said Mead had resumed training and was a chance to return to the line-up this weekend.
"He's got to go back and see the surgeon this week. We'll see how he's travelling and how the surgeon thinks he is travelling as to whether or not he plays this week," Condon said.
Halfback Albert Kelly suffered concussion in Sunday's heartbreaking 25-24 loss to the Warriors in Auckland, and will need to pass a concussion test this week to be considered for the match against the Dragons.
