Matt Scott looking for Cowboys win to celebrate 150th game

COWBOYS prop Matt Scott hopes his 150th NRL match is a celebration for the right reasons against the Rabbitohs on Friday night.

Scott is the third representative player at the club to reach significant milestones this season, and the other two have not ended well.

The Cowboys lost 34-6 to Newcastle in Johnathon Thurston's 200th game, and went down 12-10 to the Broncos in Brent Tate's 200th.

"Hopefully I can buck the trend," Scott said. "It's been a goal of mine ... I'm pretty happy to play the 150."

The front-rower said playing against the "monster" South Sydney pack would be a serious challenge.
