Tiger shark swims by beachgoers

Massive shark swims alongside unsuspecting beachgoers

DRONE footage captured the moment a massive shark was seen swimming dangerously close to unsuspecting swimmers on South Beach in Miami.

Kenny Melendez, who flies drones professionally, was flying his device over the water when he spotted a large shadow right next to a swimmer.

He followed the huge shark, believed to be a tiger shark, for a few minutes and watched as it swam dangerously close to some blissfully unaware swimmers.

He told GrindTV: "As I flew the drone closer, I realised it was a large shark. I got closer and noticed the striped pattern and knew immediately it was a tiger shark."

It is not as easy to spot a shark when you are standing in the water, but an aerial view gives a whole new perspective.

Thankfully the shark didn't seem too interested in the beachgoers and appeared to eventually swim off further out to sea.
