Margot gave wedding guests a permanent gift

MARGOT Robbie has given her wedding guests a rather permanent parting gift.

A week after her surprise nuptials to British beau Tom Ackerley, the Gold Coast actor has been snapped tattooing the date of her wedding - 19 in Roman numerals - on some of her close friends.

And apparently she did the handy work herself.

A friend posted a photo to Instagram yesterday appearing to show Robbie making her mark on a mate.

The secret wedding took place at a private property in the Byron Bay Hinterland last Monday.

The newlyweds have enjoyed a week-long celebration with friends and family at various locations on the east coast.

They were spotted shopping on the Gold Coast on Christmas Eve and having a few drinks with friends at a private residence on Christmas Day.

Robbie is due to begin filming the new Peter Rabbit film in Australia next month.
