Man survives lightning strike

A MAN, aged 52, was taken to Lismore Base Hospital on Wednesday afternoon after being struck by lightning at Alstonville.

Alstonville fire crews were the first on the scene followed by NSW Ambulance who arrived at the Granada Parade address at 4.34pm.

Ambulance crews transferred the man to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition, but he was not admitted to hospital and went home later on Wednesday evening.
