Man stabbed in throat with needle

A MAN was taken to hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning after he was stabbed in the throat with a needle in Lismore.

At about 2am, the victim from Queensland was jabbed with the needle outside the Cocktails Nightclub in Keen Street.

The victim then punched the alleged offender in the face, causing him to fall onto the ground and lose consciousness, police said.

The victim was taken to hospital and released shortly after.

Police are investigating but no charges have been laid yet.
