Nimbin man killed after being hit by car on Pacific Highway

UPDATE 10am:  POLICE have confirmed the man fatally hit on the Pacific Highway on Saturday night was Tommy Price, 36, of Nimbin.

 

MONDAY 6am: POLICE are investigating after a man was fatally hit by a car on the Northern Rivers.

About 7.50pm Saturday, police said emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway, Tintenbar, following reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a car.

Ambulance paramedics assisted the pedestrian, but he died at the scene.

The male driver of the vehicle was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to Richmond Local Area Command arrived at the scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances leading up to the incident.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
