Man accused of stabbing wife to death

A MAN has appeared in court charged with stabbing his wife to death and attacking a woman believed to be the woman's daughter in a Sydney home.

Haydar Haydar , 58, has been charged with murder and wounding with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm.

He did not apply for bail.

He is set to appear in Central Local Court on April 9.

Kogarah Police Inspector David Donohue said police believed the daughter may have been attempting to intervene when she was hurt.
