Magpies fly into finals spot again

COLLINGWOOD has moved back into the top eight with a thrilling six-point win over Port Adelaide at the MCG.

The game was tight all afternoon, with the Magpies holding on to join North Melbourne, Essendon and Gold Coast on 10 wins after the 11.10 (76) to 10.10 (70) victory.

Steele Sidebottom, with 31 disposals and two goals led the way, with Dayne Beams also influential with 32 touches and a goal.

Port Adelaide, for whom Hamish Hartlett kicked four majors, is now a game behind fourth-placed Fremantle.
