'Kids don't get taught politeness'

WELCOME to the debut episode of Seniors News' first podcast - The Lunch Ladies.

In this episode, the ladies discuss the latest fashion, beauty trends and discipline, or lack thereof.

"I want to talk about the stupid eyebrows we've seen floating about!" one of the ladies said.

"In Singapore they have embroider eyebrows ... they looked sewn on!

"I was nearly going to go in and ask but I thought I better not."

"I just think eyebrows should look like eyebrows and not cockroach legs," the other lady answered.

"I don't think eyebrows should be one of those 'Oh My God' moments."

Later in the discussion, talk turned to manners in the younger generation compared to back "in my day".

"Like I know when I had my kids, 'no' meant 'no' and 'yes' meant 'yes'," one lady kicked off.

"Kids don't get taught politeness, or how to be courteous. There's not a whole lot of 'please' and 'thank you'."

"My son once swore at me," the other reminisced. "Then the next time he did it, he had to bit a cake of soap.

"And every 20 second he had to have a drink of water."
