Locals needed to star in a TV advertisement

DO you want to star in a television advertisement with the message of looking out for your neighbour?

The Ballina District Community Services Association is holding auditions for volunteers aged over 65 to feature in the ad, which is part of a broader Federal Government-funded campaign titled Stronger for Longer.

You don't need any acting experience to be part of the auditions, which will be held at the Ballina RSL Club on June 5 from 1-4pm.

The ad aims to encourage community members to look out for others, and to act if you suspect something might be wrong with an elderly person at home or in the street.

Filming for the 30-second ad will take place later in June, and the ad will screen in August - and you might even see it during the popular Channel 7 Sunrise morning program.

To book a place for an audition, phone Jess at the BDCSA on 6698 4272 or you can turn up on the day.
