FOOTBALL: Denis Suarez upstaged his better-known teammate Luis to help fire Barcelona to its seventh straight Copa del Rey semi-final with two goals in a 6-2 aggregate win over Real Sociedad.

Leading 1-0 from the first leg, Denis Suarez, a former Manchester City player, doubled the lead before Lionel Messi extended the advantage from the penalty spot.

Juanmi pulled a goal back before Luis Suarez made it 4-1 on aggregate.

After Willian Jose's header cut the deficit again, Denis Suarez added his second before Arda Turan completed the rout.

Barcelona has won the competition for a record 28 times and are in the semi-final draw alongside 10-time winners Atletico Madrid, Celta Vigo - which knocked out Real Madrid - and Alaves.

The Catalan club has won its last five games in all competitions.
