Lions waiting on Black’s decision

BRISBANE Lions veteran Simon Black is set to decide his playing future in the next few days.

Set to meet with new Lions coach Justin Leppitsch to discuss his future, the three-time premiership winner is weighing up whether to continue his stellar playing career or make the move into coaching.

Lions list manager Rob Kerr told SEN Radio yesterday that a decision needed to be made.

"He had a knee operation about six weeks ago so I think he's sort of been contemplating how has that gone," he said.

"My understanding is that he and Justin Leppitsch will have a chat this week."

The Lions board yesterday agreed to convene a general meeting of its members on November 13.

The board met in Brisbane and the date and motions to be put to the general meeting were agreed upon.

Voting members will receive formal notice of the meeting by post.

Directors affected by the proposed resolutions will be able to provide the club a written statement to be included with the notice of meeting.
