Lennox beats Alstonville

A FOUR-wicket haul at home by Paul Milgate helped Lennox Head get on top of Alstonville after a lower-order batting collapse by the home team.

The match was always going to be in the balance after the home side notched just 135 runs, after being 1-80 thanks to a brilliant 66 by 19-year-old opener Daniel Emms.

Alstonville had a faint hope at 2-40 but Milgate (4-32) turned the tables. Alstonville finished 20 runs short of their targe

The Ballina Bears lost only one wicket and needed only 16 overs to chase down Terranora Lakes’ meagre 9-132 at Fripp Oval.

Cudgen lost only two wickets in overhauling Tintenbar-East Ballina’s innings of 146.
