Learn more about Cumbalum proposal

A PUBLIC meeting will be held at Lennox Head on Saturday, March 10 to outline the proposal to rezone Cumbalum land to allow residential development for about 8000 people.

The land, known as Cumbalum Precinct A and Cumbalum Precinct B, is located between Ross Ln and Cumbalum.

The public meeting, endorsed by Ballina Shire Council last week, will be held at the Lennox Head Cultural and Community Centre from 10am.

Lennox Head Chamber of Commerce is rallying to get residents to the meeting.

Chamber president Louise Owen said the potential developments could bring about 4000 more residents to the immediate Lennox Head area, and "explode our population by more than double."
