Aussies look good after defeating Spain at World League

THE Kookaburras' bid for World Cup qualification is up and running in Rotterdam after the Australian men beat Spain 5-2 in their second game at the World League.

The Aussies bounced back from the 3-1 defeat against Belgium on Friday by taking a 2-0 lead into half-time with goals from Kieran Govers and Chris Ciriello.

Spain pulled one back just after the break, but three goals in five minutes from Kiel Brown, Russell Ford, and Rob Hammond secured victory for Ric Charlesworth's men.

The Kookaburras face France, who lost 4-2 to Spain in their opener, tonight.
