Kidnapping accused will fight for bail in NSW Supreme Court

A BALLINA man accused of kidnapping a woman at Coffs Harbour's Plantation Hotel will take his fight for bail to the NSW Supreme Court.

Jeremy Waters, 22, was arrested in November last year after he was allegedly captured on CCTV footage exiting the hotel's female toilets, dragging an unconscious woman by her clothes and dumping her in a store room.

He was charged with take/detain person with intent to obtain advantage.

During Waters' first appearance in the Lismore Local Court last year police described his behaviour as "bizarre" and Magistrate R. Denes refused bail on the grounds she had "significant concerns for the protection of the community".

This week Waters was again refused bail in the Coffs Harbour local court where his next appearance was set down for April 23.

He will attend a bail hearing in Sydney's Supreme Court on April 8.
