Kevin Rudd's godson allegedly punched for supporting SSM
FORMER prime minister Kevin Rudd claims his godson has been punched in the face while standing up for marriage equality.
With the Turnbull Government's controversial plebiscite on the issue generating heated debate from both sides of the issue, Mr Rudd says his godson's experience highlights one of he main arguments the "yes" campaign made for not having a public vote.

Those calling for the Government to simply amend current laws rather than go through the cost and potentially damaging public vote have long argued that comments and actions from the "no" campaign had the potential to be damaging to members of the LGBTIQ community.
