THREE positions have been advertised by Adani for their Bowen office.

The positions include a rail operational design and interface manager, general manager of infrastructure and an executive assistant.

On Monday Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced the rail and port headquarters for the Carmichael Coal project will be in Bowen and mining services will be based in Mackay.

"I have always made it clear: the jobs from the Carmichael Coal project are for Queenslanders. I am pleased Mr Adani has committed to do just that," Ms Palaszczuk said.

"Importantly, Adani have committed to up to 600 new jobs in the next pre-construction phase of the project's development and locations for staff."
