It’s a long board to top

TWO Ballina Shire surfers tasted the sweet taste of success at the 2013 Noosa Surfing Festival.

Knockrow's Isabelle Braly won the Women's Pro title, riding an old school 9' 2" single fin with 50/50 rails and executing some excellent nose riding to dominate the final.

Izzy found the needle in the haystack, with the highest-scoring wave to claim victory over a truly international field with surfers from all over Australia, UK, France, Hawaii, USA, Brazil and Taiwan.

Also showing the judges some nose-riding mastery was Ballina's longboard maestro, Eric Walker.

He clocked up yet another title with his victory in the Over-60s.

Walker is a multiple champion at the Noosa event and was undefeated all the way through the contest.

Lennox-Ballina Boardriders' next club round is April 13 and 14.
