iLandscape.com.au lands national award

COAST-based iLandscape.com.au has landed a top honour at the national HIA Renovate & Build Expo, winning the People's Choice Award for favourite outdoor living space.

The award was bestowed at the conclusion of the three-day expo held in Brisbane this month.

iLandscape.com.au is an online portal that connects consumers to nearly 500 members throughout Australia. Fifteen of those member businesses - all Sunshine Coast-based - worked together in a marathon effort to erect the award-winning display.

Jason Kay, CEO of iLandscape.com.au, and national member manager Michael Cook, lauded both the on-site team and the broader membership for its efforts.

"Our reputation is built on the backs of many, and it's the day-in, day-out creativity and integrity of our hundreds of members that enables us to showcase 'living displays' of this calibre. As such, this award belongs to all of our members," Mr Kay said.

Saul Johnson from Buderim's SJ Landscapes said it was particularly rewarding to have so many Sunshine Coast-based members involved in the creation of the display.

"My role as a landscape designer was to help co-ordinate the design and integration of each member's unique elements into the display.

"Integral to the exhibit's success were iLandscape.com.au who also played a major co-ordination role while Mark and Meagan Tolley of Sanctum Screens at Moffat Beach supplied architecturally-designed panels," he said.

"Patrick Handley of Buderim's Waterscapes Australia created the ponds and water gardens which helped reinforce how ponds and waterways can be integrated into a landscaping plan."

The annual HIA Expo showcases the best products and services from Australia's top builders and designers and attracted more than 30,000 visitors over three days.

iLandscape.com.au will next take on National Tree Day on July 28.
