ICAC: Denial minister turned a blind eye

FORMER NSW Labor Minister Tony Kelly has denied turning a "blind eye" to the contents of a Cabinet minute which the corruption watchdog suspects was changed at the last minute to favour the interests of Australian Water Holdings.

The Independent Commission Against Corruption is investigating claims Mr Kelly and former NSW Labor MP Joe Tripodi reversed a recommendation to reject a proposal by the company which if approved, would have benefited the family of disgraced Labor powerbroker Eddie Obeid to the tune of about $60million.

Giving evidence on Thursday, Mr Kelly said he signed off on the minute but was unaware it "may" have been changed.
