THE husband of murdered mother-to-be Joan Canino Ryther says his wife had already named their unborn child.

''We were hoping for a little girl," Mr Ryther said.

''She'd named her Camille Gayle Ryther."

Mrs Ryther was eight weeks pregnant when she was killed as she walked to the fast-food restaurant where she worked last Tuesday night.

Her body was found bloodied and partially-clothed in the front yard of a Leichhardt Street house in Logan Central, about a kilometre from her Mayes Avenue home south of Brisbane.

Holding his wife's first ultrasound, Mr Ryther sobbed as he made an emotional appeal on Monday for anyone with information leading to Joan's killer to come forward.

''What was taken from me was not just my wife, my life, but was also a child,'' he said.

Just as he had been robbed of meeting his unborn child, Mr Ryther said Joan's father was murdered in the months before she was born.

Police would also like to speak to anyone who congregated in Mayes Park last Tuesday night.

Mr Ryther pleaded with the public to come forward.

"I would like to urge the public that anyone that knows anything to come forward to get this guy,'' he told media.

"My family want justice for my Joan.''

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
