House fire at Ballina

EMERGENCY services were called to a house fire at Biala Pl, Ballina, this afternoon.
Fire and Rescue NSW received a phone call at about 3pm that smoke was coming from the house and it has since been confirmed that a fire started in the roof of the building.
No-one was at home at the time.
Fire crews from Ballina and Alstonville attended the scene, as well as ambulance and police officers.
Investigations into the cause of the blaze are continuing.
