Hinch on Hanson: What comes out of her mouth isn't pleasant

THE human headline, Derryn Hinch says he's only met Pauline Hanson once and he doesn't find her pleasant and isn't looking forward to working with her.

In an appearance on ABC News Breakfast this morning Hinch - who now looks certain to grab a seat in the Federal Senate after securing a solid chuck of the vote in Victoria - was asked how he thought it would be working with Ms Hanson.

"Very interesting I'm not looking forward to it; we have very little in common," he said.

"I've only met her once socially, I think it was Bob Roger's 70th birthday.

"She's very pleasant but what comes out of her mouth isn't that pleasant and I don't agree with a lot of the stuff she's talking about - I mean a lot of people do.

"She's talking about having CCTV cameras in Mosques - some people say why don't we put them in Catholic Churches to watch out for the pedophiles - it doesn't make sense."

At present Hinch's Justice Party has grabbed 115,501 first preference votes in Victoria.

Just over two million have been counted and as a comparison the LNP has 627,716 and Labor 608,994.

In Queensland Hanson's One Nation Party has 136,124 first preference votes - with the LNP on 500,588 and Labor on 405,217.

There just more than 1.5 million votes have been counted.
