A FAMILY has found a hero truck driver who comforted their dying daughter while others took pictures of her fiery accident.

KXII reports that mother-of-two, Dorothy Marko, 25, was driving her truck when she crashed into a tree in Oklahoma last month.

Her vehicle burst into flames but she was able to crawl out the back.

Reports suggest that some onlookers stopped to take photos of the fiery wreck, however one truck driver stopped to render assistance and stayed with Marko as she lay dying.

She was flown to hospital but succumbed to her injuries.

The family launched a search to try and find the truck driver, who has finally come forward.

The woman's sister, Linda Marko, said she wanted to meet Darrell Cloyd in person.

"He was really upset when Dodi was laying here unconscious he was up by the gravel kicking the dirt saying what's taking them so long, what's taking them so long to get here," she said.

"And screaming 'she's just a baby, she's just a baby'. With all my heart I want to thank him."

Marko's mum, Brenda Marko, also gave her thanks to Mr Cloyd.

"At least he comforted her," she said. "When we couldn't."

Mr Cloyd said he wasn't even meant to be on that stretch of highway and had taken a wrong turn.

Marko recently paid tribute to her parents on their 44th wedding anniversary.

"You are the parents that all kids hope to have, you are the couple that all lovers hope to be and you both are the pillars of support that every family wishes it had. Happy 44th anniversary to the best parents ever," she wrote.

Marko leaves behind two children, five and eight years old.
