Hailee Steinfeld lands record deal

BANG Showbiz

Hailee Steinfeld has landed a record deal.

The 18-year-old actress - who stars in the new musical comedy 'Pitch Perfect 2' - has bagged herself a contract with Republic Records after impressing them with her "natural talent" and "dedication".

The label's executive vice president Charlie Walk said in a statement: "The moment that we met Hailee we found her commitment to music inspiring.

"She has the vision, natural talent, and dedication to compete at the highest level. We are thrilled to be part of her musical journey."

While the brunette beauty has clearly impressed industry bosses with her vocal ability, Hailee recently confessed she had been nervous about showing off her talent when she arrived on the set of 'Pitch Perfect 2', which also stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson.

The pretty star, who plays a member of the acapela group the Barden Bellas in the follow up, admitted she has a new appreciation for people who get on stage and perform.

She said: "I was equally excited as I was nervous. Singing has always been something that I love, but I've never taken it any further than the shower. You don't realise how hard it is."
