Gympie globe-trotting goat
A TOY goat, adopted from Gympie's Red Cross op shop is now living the good life as a globe-trotting traveller.
Orry the Gympie goat somehow made his way to Gympie after retiring as a mascot for the Asian Games.
After his adoption - when he was bought as a gift from Widgee resident Brad Sonter for his friend Pumpy Weiss - he travelled the Gympie region; end to end.
It seems the little farm animal developed a taste for nomadic life as he has since ventured to several corners of Australia, including Parilla in South Australia and Yamba in northern New South Wales.
Friends say he left Gympie mid last year and has since clocked up thousands of kilometres travelling with road train driver Phil Southwell and has even been jet skiing on the Gold Coast.
However the Gympie goat is now on his biggest trip of his lifetime - Facebook photos have revealed him sipping cocktails on island paradise Fiji. From humble beginnings, the little toy goat, which was initially purchased as part of a long-running goat joke amongst friends, has travel plans that continue to grow.
Next, the goat plans to travel via cruise ship to Vanuatu and Noumea.
