Gympie Eisteddfod forges ahead and matches the best
"FIRST and foremost, our performers are thoroughly enjoying themselves," Gympie and District Eisteddfod president Thelma Reisenleiter said at the Gympie Civic Centre yesterday.
Competitors in the instrumental section of the Eisteddfod events performed their way through 19 events yesterday and last night.
And the pace will not let up today, with 24 further events in the instrumental section, including piano.

Tomorrow's program moves into a range of other fields, including vocal and choral performances, piano, speech and drama in the afternoon and more vocal and speech and drama competition in the evening.
"We believe the talent we're seeing this year is equal to the best we have had in the past," Mrs Reisenleiter said.

"We're getting some wonderful comments from the adjudicators who say they have been very impressed with the standard of performances.
