Guild presents highest award

ALSTONVILLE woman Margaret Kohlmetz has been honoured for her outstanding service to the Baden Powell Guild of Australia.

She was presented with the highest award the guild offers - the Order of the Southern Cross.

And that's a "rare honour", she said.

NSW State Guild Master Keith Parry, of Newcastle, presented the award to Margaret at Summerland Farm on February 19. Margaret has given 16 years of service to the guild at North Coast branch, national and international level. The award ceremony was attended by guild members, family and members of the Trefoil Guild.
