Goonellabah assault victim dies in hospital

A MAN who sustained serious head injuries after he was assaulted outside his Goonellabah home in early June has died in hospital, police have confirmed.
Richmond Local Area Command duty officer Inspector Mick Dempsey said the 29-year-old passed away at Southport Hospital last week.
Investigations into the incident are continuing and anyone with any information is asked to call Lismore police on 6626 0599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
