School locked down after student 'approached'

TOOLOOA State High School went into lock down to protect its staff and students on Thursday afternoon.

The school wrote on its Facebook page that a student was "approached by a member of the public at the front of the school".

A text was sent out to all parents about the lock down on Thursday.

The school is working closely with the police for the investigation.

No students or staff were hurt.

Police were immediately called and attended the school.
