German backpacker missing in outback for ten days

FEARS are held for a German backpacker who has been missing in the Queensland outback for a week.

Daniel Dudzisz, 26, was last seen at Windorah on February 17, and it is believed he was walking 90 kilometres to Jundah, south-west of Longreach.

Detective Sergeant Dave Perry said the man had been travelling since October last year.

He said wet conditions in parts of central-western Queensland were hampering search efforts.

Extensive aerial and ground searches were conducted this week.
