Facebook fun police wipe bare bottom from the internet

MORE than four million Australians watched the State of Origin decider on Wednesday night and saw Wati Holmwood's bare bronzed bottom in the process.

It sent social media into a pun filled frenzy - cracking try for NSW, winning streak for Queensland and more.

But the fun police at Facebook think we've enjoyed this a bit too much.

Now, like a State of Origin hangover, the fog has cleared and they have since decided to start wiping his bum (no pun intended) from the social networking website.

Of our 16 Facebook posts of the photo, four have been deleted.

On the posts we invited Facebook followers to write their own witty caption.

On one site there were more than 160 comments that we know of.

But it is all a bit hit and miss, as the photo and memes made from the photo remain on some pages and profiles but not others.

It's left us questioning their censorship. Was it warranted or did they go too far?
